ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
1) Applying established principles, concepts, and methods of environmental protection when performing a variety of duties involving the management, coordination, monitoring, oversight, or evaluation of routine programs, projects or activities; 2) Referencing standards, regulatory requirements, and pertinent statues sufficient to assure environmental compliance to provide technical assistance to operating personnel and managers; 3) Collecting samples of hazardous waste and material for proper analytical analysis by following procedures; 4) Assisting in the disposal, collection, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste; and 5) Researches information about materials to identify or support proper disposal. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
