AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Ability to do the work of an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision such as:
1) Installing, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, a variety of systems components such as compressors, which include gear, reciprocating, centrifugal, or rotary pump and a variety of refrigerant controls such as those with low and high pressure side floats, automatic thermostatic expansion valves, capillary or choke types, and those base on volume or quantity changes; 2) Examining, diagnosing malfunctions and making repairs to systems that include analog and direct digital control (DDC) systems used in complex heating ventilation; air conditioning, and refrigeration systems; and 3) Follows all guidelines and procedures pertaining to the use and handling of refrigerants in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
